Hepatitis A and B: Check Your Vaccination Record Instead of Taking Chances

🩺 July 28 is World Hepatitis Day—a good time to take a moment to think about your liver. To many, hepatitis A and B sound like “issues for long-distance travel,” but solid vaccination protection is simply rock-solid prevention—for young and old alike. 💚
Hepatitis A is contracted through contaminated water or food, while hepatitis B is transmitted through blood and bodily fluids. Both can be reliably prevented with a well-tolerated vaccine—often even as a combination shot. For children, the hepatitis B vaccine is part of the recommended basic immunization schedule, and many adults no longer even know if or when they were last vaccinated. 🧳🌍
Our tip: Dig out your vaccination record and bring it with you on your next visit. We’ll go over it together to see which shots need a booster—in a relaxed, stress-free way. Especially with vacation season approaching, this is time well spent. 📅✅
Do you have questions about your vaccination status? Just contact us at the practice—we’d be happy to advise you.
