Amid the cattle, wooden fences, and barn work, accidents happen quickly: a scratch from barbed wire, a splinter from a fence post, a cut while pitching in. It sounds harmless—and usually is. But tetanus bacteria lurk in soil, dust, and manure, and that’s exactly where we’ll be spending our time these weeks. The good news: as long as your vaccinations are up to date, you’re all set.
