World Heart Day: Time for a Cardiovascular Checkup
❤️ Your heart beats about 100,000 times a day—without a break, without a vacation, without applause.
September 29 is World Heart Day. It’s a good opportunity to get checked out before anything starts to hurt. High blood pressure, elevated blood lipids, or early-stage diabetes often don’t cause any symptoms for years—you don’t notice them until something has already happened. That’s exactly why the cardiovascular checkup exists: blood pressure, lab tests, an ECG, and a discussion about exercise, sleep, and stress. It doesn’t take long, but it tells you a lot.
And the good news is: Many factors can be addressed early on. A brisk walk 🚶, less salt in your food, one more smoke-free day than last week—your heart counts every little thing.
Haven’t had a checkup in a while? Give us a call or stop by the practice—we’ll schedule an appointment for you. 📞
